Vacationing, BSing and Mixing

Last week my wife and I took a trip out to the Grand Canyon. It was my first trip and a well needed break from all of the work. I love getting out in nature. It's a wonderful contrast to the hours of sitting in dark, windowless rooms working on music. This trip was definitely the reset I needed. I had grown a little frustrated with my mixing and was looking for some inspiration. There is more than enough inspiration in the Grand Canyon!

As soon as we returned we had the opportunity to be guests on the Badass Bands, BSing with Badasses podcast. Jo had been a long time supporter of Tic Tic Boom! and we had always hoped that that support would continue over with the new project. Having a chance to talk with her and Jordan did a great deal for making Dear Ocean feel like a real band to me.

I mixed the new Dear Ocean song, Stars this week as well. We will premiere it on the Badass podcast later in April. Stay tuned!
